This armchair is the result of various experiments with cattail fiber weaves.
In the design of the Vidigal Armchair, we sought to explore the countless possibilities of textures and contrasts that handling the cattail weave can offer. The piece was designed for use on balconies and is part of a collection developed for the Rio de Janeiro company Vimoso, named after the beaches in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

The cattail (Typha domingensis) is an aquatic plant abundant in Brazil and typical of mangroves, floodplains and other bodies of water. It is a plant that purifies polluted water, absorbs heavy metals and is highly adaptable. It is found throughout the world, and in some parts it is even considered a pest.
