Regg (Teto)
Armchair
2011
We’ve been wanting to make some reference to the network for a long time. Perhaps the most genuine of Brazilian furniture – the hammock is originally from the indigenous people of South America and was originally made with vines and fibers. Now, many years after the colonization of Brazil, we propose this piece, which explores the concept of miscegenation and syncretism – which is a result of this colonization process itself.
Here the hammock design is fused with the famous Egg Armchair, by Arne Jacobsen from 1958, to give rise to an iconographic piece. REDE+EGG = REGG
The ceiling support strap is made of stainless steel and has an adjustable length.
This piece is also available in a wall-mounted version.
