Marambaia

External area, Stool

2011

This stool explores the contrast between industrialized and natural materials (metal and reed). The structure is available in different colors. The piece is named after a beach on the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, as are all the other pieces in the series designed by Lattoog that are part of the ´Praias Cariocas´ collection. In this case, the tribute was paid to the stunning beach of Restinga da Marambaia – a wild and unexplored beach measuring more than 42km in length.
With the Marambaia series, we seek to make the most of the transparencies that the composition of the materials can offer. The solution adopted for the seat and back also saves raw materials and production time. Like Cattail, Junco is an emergent plant that grows on the banks of lakes and dams, being very common in marshes and marshes and very abundant in Brazil. In addition to the stool, Marambaia is also available in armchair, chair and side table versions.
