Lattoog

From the first moments of the creation of Poltrona Join, the exercise of reinterpreting traits from past times to achieve a typically contemporary formal result was active. This “modus operandi” characterizes one of the lines of thought of Lattoog designers: The dialogue (or connection) between formal languages from different eras. Several other pieces from Lattoog for Schuster carry this concept: Temes armchair, Delicat lamp, Colônia buffet…. *

The English name Join, which translates as ‘junction, connection, connection’, summarizes this piece very well not only from a conceptual/temporal point of view, but also from a formal point of view. This can be seen by the way its elements come together, creating constructive details made possible by the elaborate construction techniques developed within Schuster with pressed, curved and rounded laminates.
